Reiki and how I work

Reiki is a natural method of energy healing. The word Reiki is made up of two Kanji (Japanese words) the first part 'Rei' meaning spiritual and the second 'Ki' meaning energy.

As seen in this picture I attended my first Reiki Masters course with Angel Inspirations, run by my mother who was a very natural teacher and runs each course uniquely. I re-sat my Masters with Frans Steine of the 'International House of Reiki' when Angel Inspirations hosted the UK leg of his world Tour, it was an intense and amazing 3 day course. Frans' methods of teaching are incredible and he is very in touch with everything, he is an honest person who I have a lot of respect for. The Reiki that has been passed to me and which I practice today is traditional Japanese lineage and called Usui Reiki Ryoho.

I have always been very aware and sensitive to the energy around us and flowing through us however it was only when I found Reiki that I actually learnt to work with that energy. Since learning Reiki I have felt more positive in myself, it has helped my confidence and my being and I cannot reccomend it enough, if you are interested in learning it for yourself visit Angel Inspirations website.

Reiki works on the Mind, Body and Soul and works differently for everyone, I personally tend to feel extreme heat when practicing but also feel pulsing etc. Others may feel cold, warm, relaxed, calm some people have seen colours as well.

People may initially come for one issue and find after a few sessions that something else has changed/ healed/ fixed, this is one of the things I love about Reiki, it is always helping in unexpected ways.

I work with both people and animals, and have seen first hand the many benefits of Reiki. I have found that animals will often seek out Reiki energy on their own. For example one of my cats, whenever he felt the need, would simply come over and present a leg or his back or where ever he felt he needed the energy most. I would give him some Reiki, which he would soak up and then when he had had enough he would get up and walk away or simply drift to sleep. My dog also thoroughly enjoys Reiki on a regular basis.
